Matthew Linnell graduated from Bristol University Veterinary School in 1996 and returned to the city in 2002, since when he has worked alongside Dr Hamish Denny and his Orthopaedic Referral Service.
He holds the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, and has extensive experience of both orthopaedic referral surgery and the economic realities of general practice.
Aside from his professional interest in orthopaedics, he has a deep love of travel, photography, music and woodwork.
Dr Hamish Denny is one of the most well-known and widely respected figures in the field of veterinary orthopaedics. He has authored numerous scientific papers and three textbooks, including the seminal
"Guide to Canine and Feline Orthopaedic Surgery",
now in its fourth edition. He lectures and is published both nationally and internationally.
After graduating from Cambridge University, Dr Denny worked for many years as a surgeon and lecturer at Bristol University Veterinary School. He has provided
his Orthopaedic Referral Service from our Hanham Surgery since 1987.
